#3 - Hello Halloween!

Oh my God! Did Lily actually agree to organize a Halloween party next week?

Her daughter Ella had jumped for joy. And her two teens, Jules and Jack, had been overly enthusiastic too. Of course, Lily’s sister, Lisa, had something to do with it. She had prepped the three kids so well that Lily couldn’t possibly say “no.”

But now, a day later, doubt starts creeping in. Is this really a good idea? Lily hates costume parties. Her husband Ben isn’t exactly thrilled either.

Her gaze meets that of Charlie, the dog, resting his head on his paws and rolling his eyes toward her before staring blankly ahead again. That look! Maybe she should just say “yes” for once? After all… this doesn’t feel like a typical Lily project, she thinks.

“Well, I’m in!” Lily laughs. “Come on, Ben! It’s going to be fun.” But Ben still isn’t convinced. He looks at Lily like she’s lost her mind.

Lily ignores it. There’s no turning back now. And yes… maybe she has gone a little crazy.
