#55 - Have you ever tried to break a habit, only to realize it wasn’t as hard as you thought?

Lily used to be a devoted member of the Evening Snack Club—a loyal muncher of chips, cookies, and whatever else finds its way to the couch. But now, she is on a mission: no snacks after dinner. Just water.

At first, it felt impossible. The crunch, the salt, the joy of snacking—it called to her. But day by day, the cravings fade.

Tonight, as her family noisily devours chips, Lily simply smiles, sipping her water like a queen.

Her husband Ben waves a chip at her, as usual. “One little bite?”

But … “No thanks. I’m in recovery.” Lily grins.

Her stomach rumbles in protest. “Sounds like withdrawal.” Ben laughs.  But Lily is determined, patting her belly.  “Nope, just the sound of a body finally cleaning up.”

And for the first time, she knows—she has won.
