#68 – The Selfie Queen… or Just Pure Luck?
Share
Ella stares at her phone, mouth slightly open. Her mom Lily just posted a selfie—effortless—and somehow, it is perfect. The lighting? Dreamy. The background? Aesthetic masterpiece. Her hair? Flowing like a shampoo commercial. Where did she even find this perfect wall?!
Ella had just spent an entire hour trying to get a good selfie that morning. She’d adjusted the angle, shifted the lighting, even tried the classic “hold-your-arm-up-high” trick. The result? Weird shadows, awkward smirks, and—at one point—Jack photobombing with a banana mustache.
“But… how?” Ella mutters, glaring at the flawless image. “HOW does she just snap a picture and it’s instantly perfect? That’s not even fair.”
Her friend leans over for a better look. “Wow. She’s a natural talent.” Ella groans. “Ugh, don’t say that. That makes it worse.”
Meanwhile, in the real world, Lily flops onto the couch, exhausted. She isn’t some mystical selfie queen. No, she has taken 378 pictures just to get this one accidental masterpiece. She dedicated five whole hours to finding the perfect wall—only for her to realize later that it was just the side of a random café in town.
As Ella continues stressing over her mom’s unfair selfie skills, Lily is busy deleting the hundreds of failed attempts, too tired to even care.
So… do some people truly have selfie magic, or is it all just a game of patience (and way too many deleted photos)? 🤔
