Lily holds her phone high, tilting her head slightly. “Okay… cool and effortless, just like Ella and Jules do it.” She adjusts the angle, puckers her lips just a little—then whoops!
Her phone slips from her fingers, bounces off the table, and lands with a loud thud on the floor.
Her husband Ben, watching from the couch, explodes with laughter. “Oh—oh my gosh! Did you just drop it mid-selfie?!”
Lily groans, picking it up. “Ugh. Maybe I should—” She stops. A photo has been taken at the exact moment of disaster—her face frozen in panic, her hands flailing wildly, and in the background, Ben crying with laughter.
It is ridiculous. It is hilarious.
Without thinking, she uploads it. “Tried to be cool. Failed spectacularly. #SelfieGoneWrong”
Within minutes, the likes and laughing emojis roll in. Even daughter Ella comments, “MOM! This is legendary! 😂”
Lily smirks at Ben. “Looks like I did take the best selfie today.”
Ben shakes his head, grinning. “Yeah… just not the way you planned.”
