#82 - DAY 04 - Early bird walk

Today’s challenge: an early bird spring walk. Lily is all dressed—miraculously, she’s even convinced Ella to join her. Charlie the dog is already at the bottom of the stairs, tail wagging like a metronome, eyes wide with excitement.

Lily tiptoes down, ties her shoes, opens the front door and—bam. Rain. Not a gentle drizzle, but a full-on theatrical downpour. Ella blinks. “Are you kidding me?”

Lily pauses, then grins. “We’re up anyway. Let’s walk between the raindrops.” So off they go—raincoats zipped, Charlie strutting ahead like a soggy little explorer. And suddenly, everything feels magical.

Ducks waltz in puddles. Earthworms do yoga. A squirrel attempts Olympic-level parkour across wet branches. Even the daffodils look mildly shocked.

By the time they return, they’re soaked, giggling, and carrying the kind of joy only rainy mornings can bring.

Ella grins. “Okay… that was actually perfect.”

And Lily? She already knew.
